Boeing and plane restoration

I toured Boeings assembly building where they build the 747, 777, & 787 airplanes. Unfortunately they don't allow pictures. It is a very cool building. It is 1/3 of a mile wide and almost 3/4 mile long. Largest building, by cubic feet, in the world. The 787 is assembled their, but all the main parts are pre-built at other locations and flown in for assembly. The 777 has the largest engines ever made.  Their diameter is larger then the body of a 737. Defiantly worth the time.

The other tour was of the restoration areas that rebuild the airplanes for display at the Museum of Flight. Interesting place with a few neat airplanes. They have the first 727 built and a DeHavilland Comet which is the first commercial jet airliner in service.

I'll post the rest of the pictures from the museum as well as the ones I took today, in the next day or two as well as my schedule for my next two weeks of driving.

Now bed and get up early to fly to Anchorage and then to work.
