Bannock ghost town.

I visited Bannack today.  It was a gold mining town from the 1862 until the 1970's when the state bought it for a State Park.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bannack,_Montana   Interesting to see the old buildings, unfortunately most are empty, but are open to walk through. There was a car club at Bannack so I got a free car show too! After Bannack I stopped in Butte to see the Mining Museum.  Pretty interesting too.  A lot of old buildings, these are full of stuff, but you can't walk in, just look through the windows or at a viewing area.  I'm now in Missoula MT and will be heading to Wallace ID in the morning to tour a underground silver mine then on to Glacier National Park.

Methodist church, the only church in town.

 The jail
Made taking care of prisoners easy when you can chain them to the floor.  Prisoners didn't last long since no one wanted to leave their claim to guard them.  They were warned, or banished, or hung.

 Masons lodge
Governors house.  First governor of the territory.
