USS Alabama and USS Drum

Toured the USS Alabama, a South Dakota class battleship and the USS Drum a WWII submarine.









 Machine shop

 Brig
 16"shells for the main guns.



 Powder magazine for the main turrets.

 Boilers to run the steam turbines
 Steam turbine and gear reduction behind it.
 5" shell powder and shell magazine.

 Gyro for aiming the 16" guns.



 Loading ports for the 16" guns.  Seems they haven't cleaned their glass lately!

 Think they were forgetting to lead the airplanes?? Lol.
