Castle Air Museum near Atwater, CA

Visited Castle Air Museum today.  Pretty good collection, but I stopped mostly to see their B-36.  For some reason it is one of my favorite airplanes and there are only 4 left (I've seen two so far).  Tough day walking around at 70 degrees looking at airplanes!

I like these twin rotor helicopters.  Hard to believe they don't just chop themselves to pieces.

 B-36

This was converted from bomber to reconnaissance and is the only converted one left.  You can see the door in the side for the cameras.
One of the seldom seen stealth planes on display!

The first mass produced nuclear bomb was made for this airplane (Green bomb) and one of the first "Stand off" nuclear, air dropped, missiles was also made for this airplane.

 B-52 cockpit trainer.
