Toured the Franklin car museum in Tucson. They are all air cooled. Some have 12 cylinder super charged engines in them. Pretty nice cars. They also made airplane engines in to the 1970's.
The cylinder on the side is for acetylene to run the head lights.
This one had a muffler/exhaust cut out petal (labeled muffler) to open up the exhaust and scare cattle off the road.
This was found with a tree growing through it.
I also toured the miniatures museum in Tucson with my cousin. Not normally something I'd go see, but pretty impressive and worth a visit.
In this miniature, all the people moved when it was wound up. The mechanism is in the next picture.
Static displays at Davis Monthan AFB
T-72 from Iraq.
You should try more Kitschy Museums along the way, the planes and cars will get mundane after a while, wait your a guy... never mind ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the old cars... the miniatures are really cool too.
