USS Texas Battleship and San Jacinto monument

I toured the USS Texas battleship.  I really like the old Battleships.  The Texas was commissioned in 1914 and served in WW1 and WW2.  It has 10: 14" guns in 5 turrets (shot ever 105 seconds) 6: 5 inch guns, 10: 3"guns, 10: 40mm guns, and 44: 20mm guns.  It originally even had torpedo tubes but they were deemed a weak spot in the hull and removed later. Texas was at Normandy, and serviced in the Pacific. At Okinawa Texas fired 2019 rounds from the 14"guns and at Iwo Jima Texas fired 923 rounds from the 14"guns.
