George Washington's Childhood home and Civil War Battle of Fredericksburg

Visited the farm where George Washington lived as a boy.  Not much is left from his time.

 This would have been fields or garden area.  The small cabin is from the late 1800's.
 They are doing an archaeological dig to find out buildings from Washington's time near the white cabin.
 The stones mark the corners of Washington's home.

Stopped at Fredericksburg Civil War Battlefield 
 The stone wall is one side of a sunken road the the Confederates used as a line of defense to hold the hill from the Union attach.

 This section of the wall is original to the civil war.  The rest has been rebuilt.
